The 2nd annual Adventist laymen’s services and industries (ASI) trade and business fair was held on November 18 , 2018.

Landscapers, soap makers, mechanics and various other business owners convened at the H.G. Colburn gymnasium, where they showcased their products and services.

The ASI Fair was positively received as hundreds from the various Adventist churches and community visited throughout the day.

At the fair, visitors sampled products and received tip and hands on experience from some of the services. All ASI members who visited were gifted with special discounts by the business owners. Some of the stall owners were participants from last year’s trade fair and were encouraged to return due to its success.

Shandera Smith, a returning booth exhibitor, and owner of Trinity Wellness Center noted, “this event is important to exposing the community towards the services that Adventist businesses have to share with the public.”

An addition to the annual fair was the pop-up food plaza, where fruits, vegetables and other home-grown products were sold.

ASI Bahamas Chapter President Ian Greene said the pop-up food plaza is an initiative to reduce the amount of money spent on fruits and vegetables by individuals.

He added the pop-up plaza it to be the first of many as ASI continues to assist those in the community in having better and healthier lives, and will continue until  the organization has a stationary place.
